BACKGROUND
February 14, 2022, signaled the dawn of a new era for persons with disabilities as the long-awaited Disabilities Act came into full effect, establishing the 49-year-old organization as a statutory body to ensure the full inclusion of persons with disabilities in Jamaica. The new JCPD is thus mandated to be the government’s policymaking, planning, monitoring, coordinating, and advocating entity for the prevention of the causes of disability, rehabilitation, and equalization of opportunities in the concept of a rights-based society for persons with disabilities and lead in the implementation of programs and projects.
The organization, is seeking to recruit suitable candidates for nineteen (19) vacant positions, namely:
One Director/Secretary DRT (GMG/SEG 2)- Kingston
One Head of Public Procurement (GMG SEG 1)-Kingston
One Manager Rehabilitation, Transition & Social Services (GMG/SEG 3)-Kingston
One Manager Policy, Research, and Project Management (GMG/SEG 3)-Kingston
One Manager, Access, Compliance & Investigation (GMG/SEG 3)-Kingston
One Grants Administrator – (GMG/SEG1)-Kingston
One Administrator – (GMG/SEG 1)-Kingston
One Human Resource Officer (GMG/SEG 1)-Kingston
One Client Care & Information Officer (GMG/AM 3)-Kingston
Two Senior Social Workers (SWG/PS 4)- Western Region & South-Eastern Region – one each
Four Disability Management Officers (SWG/PS 3): Kingston, St. Andrew, St. James, Hanover & St. Ann
Four Compliance and Investigation Officers (GMG AM 4) Kingston (2) & St. James (2)
